Ajaan Geoff
Ajaan Geoff ordained in Thailand in 1976, and studied in the forest tradition, first under Ajaan Fuang Jotiko, and then under Ajaan Suwat Suvaco. He returned to the States in 1991 to help Ajaan Suwat set up Metta Forest Monastery, in the hills of northern San Diego County, and has been abbot there since 1993. He has translated the teachings of many of the forest masters, including Ajaan Lee, Ajaan Maha Boowa, and Upasika Kee. His most recent books include Buddhist Romanticism, Poems of the Elders, and Noble & True. All Ajaan Geoff’s books and translations are available freely on dhammatalks.org.
